Jon began his career in the 1990s, building a strong foundation in estimating and project management before quickly advancing into executive leadership roles. Over the course of his career, he has led organizations through periods of aggressive growth, operational transformation, and highly competitive pursuits, earning a reputation as a decisive leader with a relentless focus on execution and accountability.
Prior to Aurum, Jon founded and served as President of a construction services fabrication company, overseeing all aspects of operations including finance, engineering, quality control, and field execution. Under his leadership, the company developed a reputation for disciplined performance, lean operational processes, and system-driven accountability that enhanced profitability and long-term scalability.
Most recently, Jon served as Executive Vice President of Preconstruction Services for a nationally recognized ENR 400 contractor, where he led estimating, scheduling, business development, and proposal operations across a diverse portfolio of complex projects ranging from $50 million to over $2 billion. In that role, he was responsible for managing more than $1 billion annually in backlog replenishment while helping position the company for long-term strategic growth.

With more than four decades of experience in the construction industry, Scott Hurwitz has built a career defined by craftsmanship, leadership, and disciplined execution. He began his career at 18 years old as a laborer before joining the NYC Carpenters Local 157 as a carpenter apprentice, ultimately earning his Class A Journeyman card. Shortly after, Scott relocated to South Florida, where he steadily advanced from field operations into executive leadership roles.
Throughout his career in South Florida, Scott held positions ranging from Assistant Superintendent to Executive Project Manager, leading complex commercial and residential projects with a strong focus on quality, safety, scheduling, and client satisfaction. His hands-on experience in the field, combined with executive-level operational leadership, has given him a comprehensive understanding of construction from the ground up.
Scott later founded and successfully operated a structural cast-in-place concrete company specializing in complex concrete construction throughout South Florida. For more than 15 years, his company built a reputation for delivering high-quality, high-performance structures while maintaining strong relationships with owners, developers, and trade partners. His experience spans mid- and high-rise construction, parking structures, large-scale foundations, mission critical facilities, water and wastewater treatment plants, historic concrete restoration, and other technically demanding projects.

Paul Scott brings a dynamic and detail-oriented approach to preconstruction, backed by years of experience in cost estimating, budgeting, and strategic planning. As Director of Estimating at Aurum Construction, he leads the estimating team in developing accurate, competitive, and timely proposals for complex commercial concrete projects. His expertise in preconstruction planning and process management allows projects to be approached with a strong emphasis on risk mitigation, efficiency, and overall project value.
Paul began his career as an Estimator and has since contributed to a diverse portfolio of projects across multiple market sectors. His experience includes military hangars, hospitality developments, commercial retail spaces, high-rise structural construction, and large-scale tilt-wall warehouse facilities. Known for his analytical mindset, responsiveness, and disciplined approach to execution, Paul plays a key role in positioning projects for success long before construction begins.
Jessica Johnson brings a distinctive blend of Southern charm, strategic business development, and polished professionalism to the construction industry. A graduate of the University of North Texas with a degree in Radio, TV & Film, Jessica began her career in sports media, working in sports radio for CBS Radio before spending time with the Dallas Cowboys organization. Her background in media and high-profile environments sharpened her ability to communicate with confidence, cultivate meaningful relationships, and thrive in fast-paced industries where presence, precision, and performance matter.
After transitioning into commercial construction, Jessica quickly made her mark in business development and preconstruction relationships, building a reputation for opening doors, creating strategic partnerships, and helping secure multi-million-dollar opportunities. In an industry traditionally dominated by men, she has carved out her own lane by bringing both grit and grace to the table — balancing polished client relationships with the toughness, persistence, and discipline required to compete at a high level.
